Natasha Salifynji Kaoma
Natasha Salifyanji Kaoma is an adolescent and womens health activist. She is the CEO and co-founder of Copper Rose Zambia, which is an organization that deals in sexual and reproductive health in adolescents with special emphasis on menstrual hygiene. Through the CANDID PRIDE and WOMAN4HER projects, she has reached out to thousands of adolescents and distributed thousands of sanitary napkins to vulnerable girls in underpriviledged communities.
Natasha is passionate about women empowerment and sexual and reproductive health and worked with several organizations and movements in Zambia and abroad since 2009. Her vision is to empower 1million young people by 2022 through mentorship (self development strategies) and awareness of sexual and reproductive health rights because the greatest inheritance one can leave is their influence. She is an alumni of the Study of the U.S institutes on Womens leadership and is a Global University Ambassador for Milky Way Youth Movement. She is a member of the Royal Commonwealth Society for her work in improving the lives of commonwealth citizens and was also nominated for the Nelson Mandela-Graca Machel youth activism award in 2016. She is a holds of a bachelor of science in Human Biology from University of Zambia and is currently pursuing a bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the same university.
