Joan Amanda Banura
Joan Amanda Banura is a 23 year old with a diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication living in Kampala, Uganda. Her 9 years of volunteering experience with Reproductive Health Uganda (Formerly Family Planning Association of Uganda – FPAU) has seen her grow into a strong youth advocate for Family Planning and Adolescent Health for young people in Uganda. She became the Country Coordinator for IYAFP in 2014 after the 2013 ICFP in Addis Ababa and she is still holding that post. She is also the Co-founder and Executive Director of the Uganda Youth Alliance for Family Planning and Adolescent Health (UYAFPAH). She drives her passion from helping young people discover who they are and intriguing them to maximize their potential in accessing Youth Friendly Reproductive Health services and information including in Family Planning.
