Mirado Rakotoharimalala is Madagascar Country Coordinator since 2016. He is 29 years old and is living in Antananarivo with his wife and his 2 sons.
Mirado is a 29 year old local who has a background in Management and is working as the Communication & Marketing Manager of the Madagascar Football Association (FMF) since June 2013.
Mirado is a young Malagasy committed in sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR). He is a skills communication trainer on SRHR. He is the Founding President of the national network of Young Ambassadors engaged in SRHR “Tanora Iray”. He is also a member of the Draft Committee of the Magazine “Tanora Vao”, a magazine focused on SRHR and produced by young people for young.
He also collaborates with the UNFPA Madagascar and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) in his SRHR activities. In 2015, he was selected to be a member of Madagascar delegation during the 48th Conference on Population and Development (CPD) held in New York at the Headquarters of the United Nations. He was also nominated to be the Youth Representative during the National Conference on Family Planning in Madagascar in September 2016. Moreover, he represented UNFPA Madagascar during the Forum of young francophones in the Indian Ocean in Mahé, Seychelles.
Finally, Mirado attended the Young African Leadership Initiative in South Africa in 2016 and has been nominated as one of the Gates Institute's 120 under 40 youth leaders.
